Commemorative Constitution Quilt Project 2022-2023
Under the Constitution Quilt tent at the event, guests wrote commemorative or honoring words and phrases on a quilt square which was then sewn into a 9 square block by on-site volunteers.
Much effort and 3.5 months went into finishing it including embroidery, stitching, lashing, adding batting and a back and the border were completed before the quilt could travel.
The finished product is a beautiful piece of art and a reflection of our community coming together, engaging with one another, and remembering the Constitution, which, as applied, has made us the most. successful, free and distinctive nation in the history of the world for 235 consecutive years!
